Dominic Solanke (Bournemouth) was selected as the best player in the English Premier League (EPL) for a month in December, beating Son Heung-min (Tottenham Hotspur).
The EPL said on its website that Solanke was chosen as the December player. Manager of the month is Unai Emery Aston Villa. Alexis McAllister of Liverpool scored the goal of the month, and Wes Fotheringham of Sheffield took the save of the month.
Solanke scored six goals in six matches in December, while Bournemouth had four wins. Bournemouth had a four-game winning streak at the beginning of the season but rose vertically to the mid-range. It is ranked 12th with one less game than its rivals.
