The Pohang Steelers have recruited six new players to share the 2024 season.
There are a total of three preferred designated players from Pohang Youth this season, of which two are Hwang Seo-woong and Kim Dong-min, who went straight from youth to professional immediately after graduating from high school.
Hwang Seo-woong is a “Seonggol” youth from Pohang Youth in elementary, middle and high school. He dribbled well and was flexible, so he mainly played as an offensive midfielder. He has good scoring skills enough to rank first in the Pohang U18 Pohang team in the 2023 season.
Kim Dong-min uses precise kicks with both feet, putting a lot of pressure on his opponent when converting his offense. He mainly played as a defensive midfielder. He ranked No. 1 in assists within his team at Pohang U18 Artillery High School in the 2023 season.
Lee Dong-hyup, who joined the club as a preferred designated player from Kwangwoon University, has good physical strength as a left-handed defender and adheres to his left-footed cross. As he played as a flanker up until middle school, he also boasts excellent technical dribbling skills.
